KYMCO and BMW hold a new contract signing ceremony on 15th July, 2011. A visit group including high level managers visited KYMCO and the Vice Chairman, Mr. Ko, CEO, Mr. Cheng, and CFO, Mr. Ko received and attended together with unprecedented high level. The top managers of both sides interacted closely within that period. Mr. Cheng, KYMCO CEO also said "We both parties have created a good base from the well cooperation history between KYMCO and BMW. KYMCO even considers investing in brand-new assembly lines planned by us both parties in order to fulfill oncoming large production capacity requirement. We may see the respect and sincerity of KYMCO for this case."
KYMCO has accumulated experience in producing large displacement motorcycle/scooter engine. Right now KYMCO success to branch out into car engine production is only a matter of time. It's truly a important milestone of KYMCO OEM business. Reviewing the past of OEM products which cooperating with BMW, from the 450 c.c. enduro motorbike engine[model: G450X] , the follow-on engine model of G450X, TE449, TE511, up to now the new engine, all these show the solid foundation of KYMCO development strength.
Except continuing cooperating for on-going motorcycle engine OEM projects, KYMCO and BMW group will go further and challenge together for higher displacement power products. The new cooperation opportunity with BMW has also brought the chance for KYMCO to branch out into producing high-end power products.
